(SUSPENSION OF MOTOR VEHICLE PROHIBITION) (210/67)

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council made the above Order on 25th September 2026.

1. The effect of the Order will be to suspend the prohibition of motor vehicles on Horseshoe Bridge, from its junction with Priory Road to 18m northeast of the north-eastern boundary of the access road to Quay 2000.

2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are to safely allow emergency access during highway works.

3. An alternative route is not required.

4. The Order will come into force on 28th September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be completed by 24th December 2026.
