THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (BUXTON ROAD, GREAT MOOR) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) NOTICE 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of a Right Turn at Buxton Road, Great Moor, at the junction of Dialstone Lane, suspending all right turns onto Poplar Grove, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road. This Order is necessary to allow cable recovery works to take place. A diversion will be provided via Dialstone Lane, Magda Road, Beaufort Road, Dial Park Road, and Dialstone Lane. This Order is to come into operation on 8 October 2026 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
