South Langworthy Road Cycle Lanes - Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order For Works

What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (SOUTH LANGWORTHY ROAD CYCLE LANES) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026.

The Order will introduce closures to the northbound and southbound cycle lanes on South Langworthy Road, for their entire length, Salford M50 2RP. The Order is necessary as part of the Better Bus Routes/Improving Journeys scheme from Salford City Council. The order is due to come into operation on Monday 19th October 2026 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 13th November 2026. Cyclist diversions will be signed via Broadway - Howard Street - Eccles New Road, vice versa.
