(FOOTPATH NO.16 (Ashburton)) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2021
On 15 October 2026 Dartmoor National Park Authority confirmed the above Order, made under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert part of the public footpath running from SX 7653 7089 in a generally northerly direction to SX 7652 7121 and then in a generally north easterly direction to SX 7679 7160, to a new line from SX 7653 7090 in a generally northerly direction to SX 7651
7123 and then in a generally north easterly direction to SX 7679 7160 as shown on the Order map.
A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map have been placed on the Authority’s website https://www.dartmoor.gov.uk/enjoy-dartmoor/outdoor-activities/where-you-can- go/access-and-rights-of-way-notices or to request a copy email hq@dartmoor.gov.uk or telephone 01626 832093.
The Order comes into force on 15 October 2026, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wishes to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the
Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may make an application to the High Court not later than 26 November 2026.
