Western Road - Temporary Bay Suspensions due to Reconstruction Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – WESTERN ROAD, HOVE

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

2. The suspension of the following loading bays:

   i) Lansdowne Road opposite its junction with Church Road for its full length

   i) Lansdowne Place approx. 10m from its junction with Western Road for its full length

3. The suspension of the following disabled bays:

   i) Holland Road approx. 16m from its junction with Western Road

   ii) Lansdowne Road approx. 18m from its junction with Western Road

   iii) Cambridge Road approx. 13.4m from its junction with Western Road

4. The Order is necessary for safety whilst the reconstruction of Western Road takes place.

5. Alternative loading and disabled bays will be provided as displayed on site.

6. This Order comes into force on 5 October for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 6 November 2026.
