(HEADSTEAD BANK, COTTAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING) NOTICE 2026 (BS26-286A)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Cottam in the District of Bassetlaw
The effects of the Order will be:
Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of roads at Cottam in the District of Bassetlaw.
Headstead Bank, Cottam - From its junction with Broad Lane for a distance of 100 metres in a northeasterly direction.
Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of roads at Cottam in the District of Bassetlaw.
Headstead Bank, Cottam - (Both Sides) (At All Times) From its junction with Broad Lane for a distance of 100 metres in a northeasterly direction.
1. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
2. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From Thursday 24th September 2026.
Until Thursday 23rd March 2028
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
The alternative route will be as follows: - Headstead Bank, Town Street, Outgang Road, Cottam Road, Green Lane, Town Street, New Road, Treswell Road, Church Street, Station Road, Southfore Lane, Main Street, Habblesthorpe Road, Northfield Road, North Leys Road, Coates Road, Headstead Bank and vice versa.
This Order will come into force on Thursday 24th September 2026 and continues the restrictions introduced by the 21-day notice BS26-286 which came into force on Thursday 3rd September 2026 for a maximum of 18 months.
The Prohibition is required due to the likelihood of danger to the public due to carriageway safety
