Longford Lane - Temporary Road Closure To Fibre Cabling Works
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE LONGFORD LANE, LONGFORD
WHEN: 19 October to 21 October 2026 (between 09:30 and 15:30 each day)
WHERE: Longford Lane, Longford between Jct. with Main Street and Thurlow Fields.
REASON: To facilitate fibre cabling works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Main Street, Long Lane, Cropper Lane, Longford Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
