TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
HUNTINGDON ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Huntingdon Road to such extent when prescribed signs are displayed.

The Order will come into effect from 07:00 hours on 28th September 2026 and is required to enable Gully Cleansing and carriageway repair works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 29th September 2026.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Huntingdon Road

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
EASTERN GREEN, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along the roads set out in the Schedule below The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 28th September 2026 and is required to enable the resurfacing of the carriageway to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Friday 16th October 2026. 

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

CITY OF COVENTRY (EATON ROAD)
(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the following Experimental Traffic Regulation Orders (“the Order”), that comes into effect on 2nd October 2026.

The effect of this Order shall be to improve traffic flows on Eaton Road, by prohibiting vehicles and cyclists travelling on that part of Eaton Road between the entrance and exit of the Coventry Rail Station Car Park. Access and egress from the car park is to be unaffected.

The Order will be implemented initially on an experimental basis for eighteen (18) months, after which time they will be reviewed. The Council will then make a decision to implement the Order permanently or abandon it.

Where it appears essential for certain purposes, the Council may modify or suspend any of the provisions of the Order under section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

A copy of this Notice, the sealed Order, plan and Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected at the Council House (reception area) Earl Street, Coventry and on the Council’s website ‘www.coventry.gov.uk/tro’

Any objections to the making permanent of the Order must be forwarded in writing to Mr R Parkes, Place Team, Legal Services, PO Box 7097, Council House, Coventry CV6 9SL, or via email to ‘rob.parkes@coventry.gov.uk’. 

Any objection must state the grounds on which it has been made and must be forwarded by no later than 1st April 2027.

If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six (6) weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
EMSCOTE ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Emscote Road commencing at the Highway fronting No. 11 and then approximately 15m. in each direction.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Tuesday 29th September 2026 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to disconnect a water connection pipe safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Sunday 1st August 2027.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Emscote Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
GAZA CLOSE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Gaza Close for its entire length.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 28th September 2026 and is required to enable BT to clear blocked telecoms ducts safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Wednesday 30th September 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Gaza Close.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
OAK LANE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Oak Lane commencing at its junction with Birmingham Road and continuing to its junction with Brick Hill Lane.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Tuesday 6th October 2026 and is required to enable new water connection works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Thursday 8th October 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the
said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Oak Lane.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
CLEMENTS STREET, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Clements Street commencing at its junction with Richmond Street and continuing to its junction with Chandos Street.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Wednesday 7th October 2026 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to rebuild a hydrant chamber safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 9th October 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Clements Street.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
