TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (SHEFFIELD TERRACE) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Sheffield Terrace, to be closed at the junction of Kensington Church Street
The road is to be closed to vehicles for utility works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs on Tuesday 13th October 2026 until 18.00hrs on Wednesday 14th October 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Diverted through traffic may use Kensington Church Street, Bedford Gardens, Campden Hill Road, Sheffield Terrace.
Or Kensington Church Street, Gloucester Walk, Horton Street, Sheffield Terrace, both in either direction.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
