What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (WATER STREET, PORTWOOD) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) NOTICE 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be to introduce No Waiting at Any Time at Water Street, Portwood (newly adopted section) - Both Sides from a point 163 metres north east of the intersection of the northern kerb line of Marsland Street for a distance of 22.5 metres in a north easterly direction, including across the full width of the access at its north eastern extent. Full details of these proposals are set out in the draft Order which, together with the map, may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport SK1 3XE.
