THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (WHITEFIELD ROAD, BREDBURY AND VARIOUS ROADS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) NOTICE 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at The Broadway, Bredbury - First 25 metres - No diversion, access only. Whitefield Road, Bredbury - First 25 metres - No diversion, access only. Temporary Prohibition of a Right Turn at Mill Street, Hazel Grove - prohibition of right turn when exiting on to A6 London Road whilst signs are displayed during working times. Whitefield Road, Bredbury - prohibition of right turn when exiting on to Ashton Road whilst signs are displayed during working times. Ashton Road, Bredbury - prohibition of right turn when turning into Whitefield Road whilst signs are displayed during working times The above restrictions will be in place whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said roads. This Order is necessary to allow for road repair works to take place. It is estimated these works will last up to 3 weeks. This Order is to come into operation on 9 October 2026 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
