ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Parking Restrictions & Road Closures

Various Roads in the Borough

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water pipe replacement works they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in various streets.

2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or stand in the roads detailed in the schedule, between the dates indicated. The parking restrictions and road closures will operate on a rolling basis.

3. The order will come into effect on 01 October 2026. The restrictions will be in force at all times from 01 October until 17 December 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Bus Lane Suspension

Paradise Road, Richmond

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate Telecom works they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Paradise Road, Richmond.

2. Whilst the works take place the bus lane in Paradise Road between the junction with St James Cottages and the junction with Church Terrace shall be suspended and the effect being that vehicular traffic will be permitted to proceed in that length of bus lane.

3. The order will come into effect on 07 October 2026. The restrictions will be in force between 07 October to 10 October 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Parke Road & Lowther Road, Barnes

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Parke Road & Lowther Road, Barnes.

2. Whilst the work takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Parke Road at the junction with Suffolk Road side of number 35 Suffolk Road from 28 September to 06 October 2026 and Lowther Road at the junction with Suffolk Road side of number 65 Suffolk Road from 06 October to 14 October 2026.

3. The order will come into effect 28 September 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 28 September to 14 October 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. Whilst the closure is in place an alternative route for traffic will be via Berkeley Road, Cumberland Road and vice versa.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate external sewer cleansing works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Stanmore Road, Richmond.

2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Stanmore Road, Richmond from the junction with Topiary Square junction to the junction with Kew Road.

3. The order will come into effect 05 October 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress on 05 October 2026 only. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. Whilst the closure is in place an alternative route for traffic will be available via Lion Gate Gardens, Kew Road.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
