What is happening?
THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
GANDHI WAY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:-
The junction of Alfred Gelder Street to junction of High Street, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during Installation of new district heating network on Gandhi Way.
The alternative route for vehicles to be signed.
Access will not be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will take effect on 12/10/2026 from 00:00midnight to 23:59pm on 08/11/2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately 28 days.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:-
Wright Street (junction with Freetown Way), Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during the junction layout changes and new traffic signals work.
The alternative route for vehicles to be signed.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will take effect on 19/10/2026 from 00:00midnight to 23:59 on 08/03/2027 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately 95 Working days.
