TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400385 STANTWAY LANE
(WESTBURY ON SEVERN PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400385 Stantway Lane, from outside of the property known as ‘Gatwick Cottage’ to outside the property known as ‘Stantway Cottage’, for a distance of approximately 240 metres. The reason for the closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.
The road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 1st October 2026 until 18:00hrs on 2nd October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order
may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed,
whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4228 COLEFORD ROAD
(TIDENHAM PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4228 Coleford Road from its junction with Boughspring Lane to outside of the property known as ‘Rookwood’ for a distance of approximately 260 metres.
The reason for the closure is for works on behalf of Network plus
The road is expected to be closed between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 on 4th October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4234 FROM CHURCH ROAD TO MIREYSTOCK CROSS ROADS
(LYDBROOK PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4234 from Church Road to Mireystock Cross Roads from its junction with A4136 to its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 1.25 kilometres. The reason for the closure is for drainage and manhole works.
The road is expected to be closed from 19th October 2026 until 23rd October 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF 403075 MOUNTJOYS LANE AND 405225 MOUNTJOYS LANE END
(CINDERFORD TOWN) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the 403075 Mountjoys Lane Road and the 405225 Mountjoys Lane End Road to prevent any stopping, loading or unloading from its junction with High Street to outside of the property known as ‘The Hollies’ for a distance of approximately 70 metres.
The reason for this closure and restriction is to allow for cable installation works.
There will be no waiting, stopping, or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said road is expected to be closed and restricted from 19th October 2026 until 21st October 2026 only or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROADS (VARIOUS WARDS AND PARISHES) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths
of road as detailed in the Schedule below. 
SCHEDULE 

The reason for the closures and restrictions is for carriageway resurfacing works. There will be no waiting, stopping or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted, during various times, on a rolling programme commencing 21st October 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order can permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required.
It is anticipated all works will be completed by 31st December 2026.
