TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD
TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC152470852: The City of Manchester (Faulkner Street & Nicholas Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic, No Waiting No Loading & Suspension of One-Way Traffic)No Time Limit Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Faulkner Street from Nicholas Street to Charlotte Street & on Nicholas Street from Portland Street to St James Street.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: 1. Nicholas Street, Booth Street, Fountain Street, Spring Gardens, York Street, New York Street, Portland Street, Charlotte Street.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Emergency H&S works on the Chinese Arch.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 4th October 2026 to 4th October 2028.
The order shall come into operation on 4th October 2026 until such time that it is revoked.
