(CRAWLEY ROAD, WOBURN)
(40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
On 15th September 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council made the above named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-
To introduce a 40mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road in Woburn:-
1. Crawley Road, from a point approximately in line with the northeastern property boundary of Drakeloe Lodge and extending in a south westerly direction for 240 metres, ending approximately 10 metres northeast of the centre of the entrance to Woburn Lido.
Date of Operation: The Order will come into operation on 1st October 2026.
Details will be provided on request by e-mailing highways.consultation@centralbedfordshire. gov.uk.
High Court Challenge:- Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Section had not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of 15th September 2026, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
