ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(WELTON ROAD, NORTON & NORTON ROAD, WELTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along those lengths of Welton Road, Norton and Norton Road, Welton as set out below.

LENGTHS OF ROADS TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: Those lengths of Welton Road, Norton and Norton Road, Welton from Welton Grange to Long Buckby Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during site investigation and repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 12th October 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the roads will be restricted for 5 days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Long Buckby Road, Norton Road, Eastern Way, Northern Way, Welton Lane and Crockwell Hill.

(BADBY LANE, NEWNHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Badby Lane, Newnham as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Badby Lane, Newnham from Preston Capes Road to Newnham Lodge.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during the clearing of a blocked culvert.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 13th October 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 1 day.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Everdon Road, Chapel Lane, The Green, Pinfold Green, Daventry Road, Newnham Lane, Badby Road, The Green and Preston Capes Road.

(CLAYDON ROAD, APPLETREE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Claydon Road, Appletree as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Claydon Road, Appletree from outside Appletree Stud.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during new electric connection.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 14th October 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 7 days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Claydon Road street heading north east from Main Street, Lower Boddington Road, Claydon Road and Appletree Lane.

(WESTON ROAD, MORETON PINKNEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Weston Road, Moreton Pinkney as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Weston Road, Moreton Pinkney from Banbury Road to entrance to Weston Hill Farm.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during drainage works and carriageway repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 28th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 1 day.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Banbury Lane and Banbury Road.
