CITY OF BRISTOL

(MIVART STREET & ST. MARKS ROAD, EASTON, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC AND CONTRA-FLOW CYCLING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be:-

1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and

2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing one way traffic (with contra-flow cycling) working:
(a) westwards in Berwick Road; and
(b) southwards in St. Marks Road – so as to allow access and egress for vehicles and to give effect to the alternative routes.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and will be operative from 12th October 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 12th October 2026 and 18th December 2026 – please see Schedule 2 below for more details).

SCHEDULE 1 – Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles
1. Mivart Street – from St. Marks Road to the common boundary line of No.1 and No.2 Mivart Street
2. St. Marks Road – from Mivart Street to Albion Road

SCHEDULE 2 – Durations
1. Between 12th October 2026 and 18th December 2026
2. Overnight only for 3 weeks towards the end of the works period

SCHEDULE 3 – Alternative Routes
1. Mivart Street (part unaffected), Foster Street, Brenner Street, St. Marks Road (part unaffected) and vice versa
2. St. Marks Road (part unaffected), Clare Road, Stapleton Road, St. Marks Road (part unaffected)

(HENLEAZE ROAD AND PYECROFT AVENUE, HENLEAZE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and will be operative from 23rd October 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 23rd October 2026 and 9th April 2028, with each closure being between 2 days and 3 months duration within the period).

1. Henleaze Road (part unaffected), Northumbria Drive, Linden Road, Coldharbour Road, Kellaway Avenue, Wellington Hill West, Southmead Road and vice versa

2. Pyecroft Avenue (part unaffected), Broadleys Avenue, Southmead Road, Henleaze Road and vice versa

(WINDMILL CLOSE, BEDMINSTER, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Windmill Close which extends from Whitehouse Lane to its closed end.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 25th October 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 25th October 2026 and 30th October 2026).
