(Footpath 23, Billericay) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close footpath 23, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Frithwood Lane northeast for approximately 660 metres.

Diversion route: alternative route retained within the development site with Heras fencing. From Frithwood Lane to footpath 23 south of Foxleigh Close.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 01 October 2026 to 01 April 2027 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public while a new development is built.

The Order will come into effect on 01 October 2026 may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Footpath 9, Hullbridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026

Further to notices: Under section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), which commenced on 14 August 2026 and 04 September 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the following length of Footpath 9, Hullbridge in the District of Rochford, from the northwest corner of the recreation ground, west for approximately 32 metres.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 25 September 2026 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public because part of the footpath has collapsed into the sea. Works will be carried out to make safe in due course.

Alternative route via: The recreation ground, Pooles Lane, Ferry Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 25 September 2026 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the issue has been resolved.

(Barling Road, Barling Magna) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Barling Road, Barling Magna in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Barrow Hall Road for a distance of approximately 220m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th October 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC0080GEAA45892112 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Shopland Road, Sutton Road, Fossetts Way, A1159, A13, Wakering Road, Barling Road and vice versa or Barling Road, Little Wakering Road, B1017, Southend Road, Silchester Corner, Barling Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 1st October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Coxes Farm Road, Great Burstead and South Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coxes Farm Road, Great Burstead and South Green in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 370m north east of its junction with Southend Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th October 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311002WGQRC81P – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Coxes Farm Road, Southend Road, Outwood Common Road, Outwood Farm Road, Coxes Farm Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 1st October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Denham Road/Craven Avenue, Canvey Island) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

Closure 1. To temporarily close that length of Denham Road, Canvey Island in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Long Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a northerly direction.

Closure 2. To temporarily close that length of Craven Avenue, Canvey Island in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Long Road to its junction with Stanford Road a distance of approximately 80m.

Closure 1 is scheduled to commence on 19th October 2026 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30013189128 – UK Power Networks) and Closure 2 is scheduled to commence on 25th October for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30081235415 – UK Power Networks).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via (closure 1) Denham Road, Waarden Road, Tilburg Road, Long Road and vice versa or (closure 2) Craven Avenue, Thorney Bay Road, Long Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 1st October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Langham Crescent, Great Burstead/Crays View, Great Burstead & South Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Langham Crescent, Great Burstead in the Borough of Basildon from its junction with Gatwick View full circuit back to its junction with Gatwick View a distance of approximately 650m.

2. To temporarily close that length of Crays View, Great Burstead and South Green in the Borough of Basildon from its junction with Gatwick View to its end (including full loop) a distance of approximately 200m.

Closure 1 is scheduled to commence on 19th October 2026 for 98 days (in phases not whole length at one time), or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001527743 – Cadent Gas).

Closure 2 is scheduled to commence on 4th January 2027 for 35 days (in phases not whole length at one time), or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001527744 – Cadent Gas).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.

(Long Riding, Barstable) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Long Riding, Barstable in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with South Riding for a distance of approximately 670m in a north westerly direction (to the bus gate). The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th October 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2406149 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Church Road, Broadmayne (westbound), Southernhay, Great Oaks, Linkway, Broadmayne (eastbound) Mopples Roundabout, Timberlog Lane or Long Riding, Timberlog Lane, Clay Hill Road, Church Road, Long Riding (bus only).

(Potash Road, Billericay) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Potash Road, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 30m north west of its junction with Goatmoor Lane for a distance of approximately 40m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd October 2026 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30015584435 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

(Southend Arterial Road Slip Road from Noak Hill Road A127 Eastbound, Basildon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Southend Arterial Road Slip Road from Noak Hill Road A127 Eastbound, Noak Bridge in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Noak Hill Roundabout to where it joins Southend Arterial Road a distance approximately 240m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th October 2026 for 4 nights (19:00–04:00) or where stated on a valid permit (EP10000017083 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cable fault repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Upper Mayne, Southend Arterial Road to Upper Mayne Link Road, A127 westbound to West Mayne Roundabout and A127 Eastbound.

(Southend Arterial Road Slip Road from A127 To Noak Hill Road Eastbound, Basildon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Southend Arterial Road Slip Road from A127 to Noak Hill Road Eastbound, Basildon in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Southend Arterial Road to its junction with Upper Mayne a distance of approximately 325m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th October 2026 for 4 nights (19:00–04:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP10000017082 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cable fault repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Southend Arterial Road, Nevendon Road Roundabout, A127, Southend Arterial Road Slip Road from A127 to Upper Mayne Westbound and Upper Mayne.

The Order will come into effect on 1st October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Sutton Road, Sutton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sutton Road, Sutton in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Shopland Road for a distance of approximately 230m in a south easterly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th October 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PLT0041469529032026 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Southend Arterial Road, North Benfleet) (Temporary Introduction of 30 MPH Speed Restriction) (No.14) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed restriction in that length of road in the Borough of Basildon as specified in the schedule.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 1st October 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

(Various Roads, Borough of Basildon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (Laindon Link, Basildon) (Temporary Suspension of Bus Gate) (No.15) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Basildon as specified in the schedule.

2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

3. To temporarily suspend the bus gate in that length of Laindon Link, Basildon as detailed in ‘The Essex County Council (Laindon Link, Basildon) (Bus Gate) Order 2020 for the duration of the above closures only.

"The Essex County Council (Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from the 1st October 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location, and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Waarden Road, Canvey Island in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Furtherwick Road for a distance of approximately 105m in a westerly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th October 2026 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30008386447 – UK Power Networks). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Willowfield, Laindon in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with High Road to its junction with Hornbeam Way a distance of approximately 490m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd October 2026 for 1 night (19:00–04:00) or where stated on a valid permit (EP10000017084 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
