PART OF MALTON DRIVE FOOTPATH 1 ASTON SHEFFIELD

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Malton Drive Footpath 1 from its junction with Malton Drive to its junction with Worksop Road Footpath 1. NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians will be via the footways adjacent to Malton Drive, The Chase, Worksop Road and Worksop Road Footpath 1.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF HAWK HILL LANE THURCROFT ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Hawk Hill Lane from its junction with Long Road for a distance of approximately 200m in an easterly direction from Wednesday 30th September until Wednesday 7th October 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Common Lane, Brampton Road, Woodhouse Green, Green Arbour Road, Sandy Lane and vice versa. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (repairs to water main).

PART OF DEVONSHIRE DRIVE NORTH ANSTON SHEFFIELD

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order  the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Devonshire Drive between its junction with Netherthorpe Drive and its junction with Edinburgh Drive on Tuesday 29th September and Wednesday 30th September 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via alternative parts of Devonshire Drive.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecom works).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF LONG ROAD THURCROFT ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY 30 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT RESTRICTION)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily revoke part of The Rotherham Borough Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Speed Limits and Speed Derestriction)

(Consolidation) Order 2004 and to reduce the speed limit from 60 miles hour to 30 miles per hour for motor vehicles travelling along that part of Long Road from a point approximately 220m north west of its junction with Pocket Handkerchief Lane for a distance of approximately 1200m in a north westerly direction from Monday 28th September until Sunday 18th October 2026.

The reason for the speed limit order is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (temporary traffic lights).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Hollybush Street from its junction with Albert Road to the end of the cul de sac from Monday 5th October until Friday 9th October 2026.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Repairs to water apparatus).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of North Road from a point approximately 115m northeast of the eastern kerbline of Dene Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a north easterly direction from Monday  5th October until Friday 9th October 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Dene Road, Dene Crescent, Brook Road, Mowbray Street and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (works to electrical apparatus).

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Manor Road, The Square, Wales Road, Limetree Avenue, Storth Lane and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (works to electrical apparatus).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Peck Mill View from its junction with Ladyfield Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a southerly direction from Monday 5th October until Friday 9th October 2026.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (electrical works).

Notice is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the borough of Rotherham proposes to make the abovementioned Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order if implemented will be as Specified below:-

(i)    Introduce ‘No Waiting at any Time’ to the parts of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice;

Advertiser on the 19th. September 2024 to introduce to Schedule 17 ‘One Way

Streets’ of The Rotherham Borough Council (The South Yorkshire County Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Traffic Measures Consolidation) Order 1985 to the part of road specified in the Schedule to this notice;
