Croydon - Multiple Temporary Road - Cycle Lane - Footway & Parking Restrictions Due To Various Works

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, Section 14 As Amended The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 And All Other Enabling Powers

Chipstead Valley Road, Coulsdon Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic
1. CROYDON COUNCIL Hereby Give Notice that to facilitate works by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Chipstead Valley Road, Coulsdon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Chipstead Valley Road will be closed between its junction with Brighton Road and the common boundary of No. 10 and Nos. 12 to 16 Chipstead Valley Road.

3. During the closure, the diversion routes for vehicles will be as detailed below.
- Via: Lion Green Road and Brighton Road.
- Via: Brighton Road, Malcom Road, and Woodcote Grove Road.
- Via: The Avenue and Woodcote Grove Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 28 September 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 02 October 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(b) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
(c) A vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

CROYDON COUNCIL - Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, Section 14 As Amended The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 And All Other Enabling Powers - Kenley Lane & Hermitage Road, Kenley Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic
1. CROYDON COUNCIL Hereby Give Notice that to facilitate desilting and cabling works on behalf of Openreach, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic in Kenley Lane and Hermitage Road, Kenley.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Kenley Lane will be closed between its junction with Welcomes Road and the southern boundary of No. 40 Kenley Lane.
b) Hermitage Road (the southernmost arm, fronting property Nos. 1 to 53, and 6 to 60 Hermitage Road) will be closed between its junction with Kenley Lane and a point 25 metres south of that junction.

3. During the closures, access for residents will be maintained whenever possible.

4. The Order will come into operation on 26 September 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 28 September 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
a) Vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL - Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 Section 14, As Amended The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic London Road, Thornton Heath
1. CROYDON COUNCIL Hereby Give Notice that to facilitate redundant water supply disconnection work, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in London Road, Thornton Heath.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) The cycle lanes on both sides of London Road between its junction with Whitehall Road and the southern boundary of No. 727 London Road will be closed.
b) The western (odd-numbered side) footway opposite No. 728 London Road will be closed.

3. During the works, cyclists will be diverted into the main carriageway. Pedestrians will be diverted into a walkway in the carriageway.

4. The Order will come into operation on the 26 September 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 27 September 2026, with back-up dates of 03 and 04 October 2026 if the works are delayed. The Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extents as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL - Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, Section 14 (As Amended) And The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Waddon Road, Croydon - Temporary Restriction Of Vehicular Traffic & Parking
1. CROYDON COUNCIL Hereby Gives Notice that to facilitate ducting installation work on behalf of UKPN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Waddon Road, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Waddon Road will be closed between its junctions with Purley Way and Courtney Road.
b) Parking in Waddon Road between its junctions with Purley Way and Courtney Road, and in Courtney Road within 10 metres of its junction with Waddon Road, will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions prohibiting parking and loading at any time will apply.

3. During the closure, the alternative route for traffic will be via: Purley Way, Mitcham Road, Reeves Corner, Cairo New Road, Rectory Grove, Waddon New Road and vice versa.

4. The Order will come into operation on 05 October 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 07 November 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
