Croydon - Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Various Works

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON COUNCIL
Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, Section 14 As Amended And The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Beulah Grove & Windmill Road, Croydon Temporary Restriction Of Traffic & Parking
1. CROYDON COUNCIL Hereby Gives Notice that to facilitate footway works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Beulah Grove and Windmill Road, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Windmill Road will be closed to vehicular traffic between its junctions with Union Road and Hampton Road.
b) The south-eastern (even numbered side) footway of Windmill Road will be closed between its junctions with Union Road and Hampton Road.
c) Beulah Grove will be closed between its junction with Windmill Road and the north-western boundary of No. 1 Beulah Grove.
d) Parking along the entire length of Beulah Grove on both sides will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions prohibiting parking will apply at any time.
e) One-way working in Beulah Grove will be suspended to allow two-way traffic.

3. During the closure, the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below.
Pedestrians affected by the footway closure will be diverted to the opposite footway.
- Via: A213 Windmill Road, A222 St James’s Road, Hogarth Crescent, and A212 Whitehorse Road.
- Via: A212 Whitehorse Road and A222 St James’s Road.
- Via: Whitehorse Road, High Street, Brigstock Road, London Road, and St James Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 01 October 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 25 October 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) Any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL - Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, Section 14 As Amended The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 And All Other Enabling Powers Covington Way, Norbury Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic
1. CROYDON COUNCIL Hereby Give Notice that to facilitate foul water sewer connection work, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Covington Way, Norbury.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Covington Way will be closed between its junctions with Norbury Hill and Christian Fields.

3. During the closure, the alternative routes for traffic will be as detailed below.
- Via: Christian Fields, B273, Norbury Hill, and vice versa.
- Via: Norbury Hill, A215, Biggin Hill, St. Oswalds Rd, and B273, Christian Fields.

4. The Order will come into operation on 12 October 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(b) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
(c) Any vehicle involved in carrying out the specified works.

CROYDON COUNCIL - Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, Section 14 As Amended And The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Mount Park Avenue, South Croydon Temporary Restriction Of Traffic
1. CROYDON COUNCIL Hereby Gives Notice that to facilitate gas connection works by SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Mount Park Avenue, South Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Mount Park Avenue will be closed between the common boundaries of Nos. 2 and 4 and Nos. 12 and 14 Mount Park Avenue.
b) The north-western (even-numbered side) footway of Mount Park Avenue will be closed outside Nos. 6 to 10 Mount Park Avenue.

3. During the closure the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via: Coningsby Road, Kingsdown Avenue, Blenheim Park Road, Culmington Road, and vice versa. Pedestrians will be diverted via: the opposite footway.

4. The Order will come into operation on 12 October 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 16 October 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) Any vehicle or person involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) A vehicle or person attending for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates entering a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
