(Bulford Mill Lane, Cressing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bulford Mill Lane, Cressing in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 260m south west of its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 115m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd October 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (KL721BRA-19-73-231026 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coggeshall Road, Feering in the District of Braintree, from its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th October 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001531075 – Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Witham Road, Cressing in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 700m south east then south of its junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Avenue Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 20m south west then north west of its junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a south westerly direction. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Church Hill, White Notley/The Street, Faulkbourne/Faulkbourne Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from the junction of Station Road for a distance of approximately 3755m in a south westerly, south easterly north easterly then south easterly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5 Tonne weight restriction on that length of South Street, Braintree from its junction with Silks Way to its junction with Railway Street as detailed in ‘The Essex County Council (South Street, Braintree) (7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2010’.
The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 5th October 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2402296/A/B – Essex County Council). Effect of the order:
- To temporarily close these lengths of road in the District of Braintree as specified in the Schedule.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 17th September 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

(Various Roads, District of Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.19) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Braintree as specified in the Schedule.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
- A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on that length of road specified in the Schedule. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
