KIRKLEES COUNCIL - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

(ST HELEN’S GATE, ALMONDBURY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of St Helen’s Gate, Almondbury from its junction with Dark Lane for approximately 70 metres in a south easterly direction PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of St Helen’s Gate, Arkenley Lane, Birks Lane, Dark Lane.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Saturday, 10 October 2026 between 08:00 hours to 16:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(RIDINGS FIELDS, BROCKHOLES, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Ridings Fields, Brockholes from a point outside property no. 72 to a point outside property no. 74 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Ridings Fields, Steep Riding.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 12 October 2026 and remain in force until 14 October 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(MOORSIDE ROAD, HONLEY, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Moorside Road, Honley from a point outside property no. 44 to a point at the end of property no. 44 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bradshaw Road, Moorbottom, Meltham Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 and remain in force until 20 October 2026.

(CUMBERWORTH ROAD/PONKER LANE, SKELMANTHORPE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Scholes Road Closure

Cumberworth Road/Ponker Lane - from its junction with Shelley Woodhouse Lane to its junction with Commercial Road Point Closures

The following lengths of road at its junction with Cumberworth Road/Ponker Lane:- Jacquard Road, Dene Road, Bedale Close, Westfield Avenue, Bedale Avenue, Gardeners Walk, Lidgett lane, Radcliffe Street

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Shelley Woodhouse Lane, Cumberworth Lane, A636 Wakefield Road, Busker Lane, Commercial Road, B6116 Huddersfield Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 12 October 2026 and remain in force until 23 October 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SCHOLES ROAD/PARK SIDE, SCHOLES, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Scholes Road/Park Side, Scholes from its junction with Lease Gardens to its junction with Hepworth Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bank Street, Sheffield Road, Spring Lane, Holmfirth Road, Greenhill Bank Road, Totties Lane, St George’s Road, Park Side.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Monday, 12 October 2026 between 09:00 hours to 16:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WAIN PARK, BERRY BROW, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 3) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Wain Park, Berry Brow from junction with Bridge Street to a point to side of railway bridge PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bridge Street, Deadmanstone, Wain Park.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 12 October 2026 and remain in force until 14 October 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(LONGROYD LANE, LONGROYD BRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in a westerly direction that length of Longroyd Lane from junction with Manchester Road to its junction with Triangle PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Manchester Road, St Thomas’ Road, Chapel Hill, Trinity Street, Gledholt Road, Heaton Road, Church Street, Market Street.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 12 October 2026 and remain in force until 23 October 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BLACKMOORFOOT ROAD, CROSLAND MOOR, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield:-

Road Closure
Blackmoorfoot Road - from its junction with Thewlis Lane to a point to the end of Justin Way

Point Closures
The following roads at their junction with Blackmoorfoot Road:- Sands House Lane, Leslie Way, Standard Way, Felks Stile Road

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Blackmoorfoot Road, Manchester Road, Cowlersley Lane, Gillroyd Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 12 October 2026 and remain in force until 23 October 2026 between 19:00 hours to 06:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(DEIGHTON ROAD, DEIGHTON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Deighton, Huddersfield:-

Road Closure
Deighton Road - from its junction with Leeds Road to its junction with Whitacre Street

Point Closures
The following lengths of road at their junction with Deighton Road:-
Church Fields, Glenfield Avenue

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

There is no alternative diversionary route available.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Wednesday, 30 September 2026 between 19:00 hours to 22:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CO-OP LANE, HOLMBRIDGE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Co-op Lane, Holmbridge from its junction with Woodhead Road, to its junction with Old Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Co-op Lane, Old Road, Woodhead Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Sunday, 27 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WOOD LANE/GRANGE LANE, KIRKBURTON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Wood Lane/Grange Lane, Kirkburton from Grange Lane to junction with Greenside Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Wood Lane, Grange Lane, Birks Lane, Stocks Moor Road, Brown’s Knoll Road, Greenside Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday, 1 October 2026 and remain in force until 14 October 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WOOLDALE ROAD/PELL LANE, WOOLDALE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Wooldale:-

Wooldale Road - from its junction with Orchard Place to its junction with Pell Lane Pell Lane - from its junction with Little Lane to its junction with Town End Road

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Lower Town End Road, Bill Lane, New Mill Road, Holmfirth Road, Greenhill Bank Road, Totties Lane, Fearnley Lane, Wooldale Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 28 September 2026 and remain in force until 30 September 2026 between 09:30 hours to 15:30 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HOLLY ROAD, SCISSETT, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Holly Road, Scissett from a point outside property no. 39 to a point outside property no. 41 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Holly Road, Langley Lane, Wakefield Road, Pennine Way, Pilling Way, Park Gate Drive, Willow Gardens.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Wednesday, 30 September 2026 between 09:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CAWTHORNE AVENUE, FARTOWN, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Cawthorne Avenue, Fartown from a point outside property no. 13 to its junction with Whitby Avenue PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Cawthorne Avenue, Richmond Avenue, Spaines Road, Halifax Old Road, Cowcliffe Hill Road, York Avenue.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 29 September 2026 and remain in force until 5 October 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(GREEN BALK LANE, LEPTON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Green Balk Lane, Lepton from a point outside Windy Gap Cottage to a point outside Windy Gap Barn PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Green Balk Lane, Rowley Lane, Wakefield Road, Pond Lane.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Tuesday, 29 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH HUD/336, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the footpath has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in that length of Public Footpath HUD/336, Huddersfield from tis junction with Brunswick Street to its junction with Fitzwilliam Street, Huddersfield Town Centre PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out the proposed works. Alternative routes for persons affected by the closure will be available via Fitzwilliam Street, John William Street, St George’s Square, St George’s Street, Westgate, New North Parade, Brunswick Street and vice versa.

The closure which came into effect on Wednesday,1 July 2026 has been further extended to remain in force until 14 December 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 6 months if necessary).

(ASH GROVE ROAD, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Ash Grove Road, Holmfirth from its junction with Greenfield Road to a point outside Ash Grove Cottage PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Greenfield Road, Park Head Lane, Upperthong Lane, Broad Lane, Ash Grove Road and vice versa.

The closure will commence on Wednesday, 30 September 2026 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 7 September 2026 and will remain in force until 25 October 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PRIMITIVE STREET, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Primitive Street, Huddersfield from its junction with Northumberland Street to its junction with St Peter’s Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Southgate, Kirkgate, Lord Street, St Peter’s Street The closure will commence on Sunday, 27 September 2026 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 21 August 2026 and will remain in force until 12 October 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
