Gloucestershire - Multiple Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400501 CHURCH STREET (WILLERSEY PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400501 Church Street Road from the War Memorial to the end of the street, for a distance of approximately 22 metres.
The reason for the closure is for water pipe repair works.
The road is expected to be closed between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs on 28th September 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400532 BELL BANK (BLOCKLEY PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400532 Bell Bank from its junction with the High Street to outside of the property known as ‘The Bungalow’ for a distance of approximately 83 metres.
The reason for the closure is for pole replacement works by Openreach.
The road is expected to be closed on 9th October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400517 BERRINGTON ROAD (CHIPPING CAMPDEN TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400517 Berrington Road from its junction with Station Road to outside of the property known as ‘No. 23’ for a distance of approximately 305 metres.
The reason for the closure is for footpath resurfacing works.
The road is expected to be closed each day between 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs from 12th October 2026 until 11th November 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for carriageway resurfacing works. There will be no stopping or waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted at various times, on a rolling programme commencing from 14th October 2026, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures and restrictions in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 31st December 2026. However, if the works are not completed by this date, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months.
