TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING ON PART OF THE C370 HIGH ROAD AND U3110 CHURCH LANE, TRIMLEY ST MARY

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order prohibiting waiting on the following roads:
● C370 High Road, Trimley St Mary from the junction with Church Lane for 60 metres northbound
● U3110 Church Lane, Trimley St Mary from the junction with High Road for 60 metres eastbound.

This is to facilitate gas main replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
It is intended that this measure will operate from 05/10/2026 - 18/10/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C557 LONG THURLOW ROAD AND RICHER ROAD AND C558 ASHFIELD HILL, BADWELL ASH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the:
● C557 Long Thurlow Road, Badwell Ash from the junction with Ashfield Hill for 60 metres north westbound.
● C557 Richer Road, Badwell Ash from the junction with Ashfield Hill for 60 metres south eastbound
● C558 Ashfield Hill, Badwell Ash from the junction with Long Thurlow Road for 80 metres south westbound.

This is to facilitate overhead cable works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
● for Long Thurlow Road and Richer Road:
 ● Long Thurlow Road, Wyverstone Road, Badwell Road, Rectory Road, Westhorpe Road, Finningham Road - Westhorpe, the B1113, Finningham Road - Walsham Le Willows, The Street, The Causeway, Badwell Road and vice versa
● for Ashfield Hill:
 ● Hunston Road, Westley Way and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 25/09/2026 from 9.30am - 3.30pm, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5201 THE STREET, THORNHAM MAGNA

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5201 The Street, Thornham Magna from Lambs Farmhouse to the junction with Workhouse Road to facilitate works to telecommunications cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Workhouse Road, the A140, Major Lane, The Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/10/2026 - 07/10/2026 from 8.30am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1404 HALL ROAD, BARSHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1404 Hall Road, Barsham from the junction with Church Road for 1800 metres westbound to facilitate cabling and jointing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Banters Lane, Tooks Common Lane, Clarkes Lane, the B1062 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/10/2026 - 06/10/2026 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ON PART OF THE U2522 BRIDGE STREET AND CASTLE STREET, FRAMLINGHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2522 Bridge Street, Framlingham from 15 metres west of Pizza and Grill for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate refurbishing and building sewer chambers in carriageway and footway. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be:
Eastbound: Well Close Square, Fore Street, Castle Street, Double Street and no vice versa
Westbound: Church Street, Castle Street, Fore Street, Albert Place, Well Close Square and no vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the one-way provision on the U2522 Castle Street, Framlingham to allow access and egress.
It is intended that these measures will operate from 05/10/2026 - 09/10/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

It is intended that the closure will operate on 05/10/2026 from 8.30am - 12pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C944 FAIRVIEW ROAD, U1224 MOUNT PLEASANT AND U1114 CHICHESTER ROAD, HALESWORTH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

1. C944 Fairview Road, Halesworth from the junction with the A144 for 230 metres eastbound
2. U1224 Mount Pleasant, Halesworth from the junction with Old Station Road for 20 metres southbound
   ● U1114 Chichester Road, Halesworth from Old Road for 15 metres southbound.

This is to facilitate a gas main replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:

1. Harrison Lane, the A144 and vice versa
2. For Mount Pleasant - Old Station Road, The Avenue and vice versa
   For Chichester Road - Old Station Road, Wissett Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

1. 05/10/2026 - 26/10/2026
2. 12/10/2026 - 23/10/2026.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1071 Boxford Lane, Newton from the A134 Further Street for 2103 metres eastbound and the A1071 Boxford Lane, Boxford from School Hill for 1502 metres westbound to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be the A1071, the A1214, the A12, the A1341, the A134 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/10/2026 - 10/10/2026 from 7pm - 5am with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

The diversion route will be Walsham Road, Wattisfield Road, The Street, Summer Road, the A143, Walsham Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 06/10/2026 from 10am to 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE A1088, C645 WALSHAM ROAD, THE A143 IXWORTH AND STANTON ROAD, IXWORTH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1088, Ixworth from the junction with the A143 to the junction with Bardwell Road to facilitate S278 works to install new streetlights. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1088, the A1066, the A11, the A134, the A143 and vice versa.
From 05/10/2026 until 12/12/2026 there will also be a 40 mph speed restriction on the A1088, Ixworth from the junction with the A143 to the junction with Ixworth Road.
From 14/12/2026 until 16/12/2026 from 8pm - 5am there will be a 40 mph speed restriction on the following roads:
● C645 Walsham Road, Ixworth from the A143 roundabout to Woolpit Road
● A143 Ixworth, Ixworth from the A143 roundabout for 100 metres southbound
● A143 Stanton Road, Ixworth from the A143 roundabout for 100 metres northbound.

It is intended that these measures will operate from 05/10/2026 - 18/12/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 30 mph speed restriction on the B1085 Kennett Road, Moulton from Grange House for 800 metres southbound to facilitate civil works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
It is intended that this measure will operate from 05/10/2026 - 09/10/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5617 Austin Street, Ipswich from Stoke Street to Vaughan Street to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Stoke Street, Rectory Road, Station Street, Wherstead Road and vice versa.
For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the one-way provision on the U5617 Austin Street to allow access and egress.
For the duration of this closure there will also be a suspension of parking bays on the U5617 Austin Street.
For the duration of this closure there will also be a prohibition of waiting on the U5617 Austin Street from Stoke Street to Vaughan Street. There will be no exceptions.
As this road closure is required to permit essential works to the highway, any vehicles that remain in the area affected during the period of the restriction may be removed in accordance with powers available to do so.
