The Quiet Lanes & Home Zones (England) Regulations 2006, Patmore End, Ugley – Proposed Designation as a Quiet Lane

Notice is hereby given that a Public Meeting is to be held at The Keys Room, Ugley Village Hall, Cambridge Road, Ugley, CM22 6HR on Tuesday 6th October 2026 – 11.00am-13.00pm to discuss the proposal. The proposed designations will be for:-

The entire length of Ugley Road from its junction with the B1383 Cambridge Road (also known as London Road) to the junction with North Hall Road, including The Lodge Road (from its junction with Ugley Road for approximately 380 metres) and Ugley Hall Road (from its junction with Ugley Road for approximately 215 metres).

(Footpath 40, Takeley) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 40, Takeley in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Smiths Green, west for approximately 571 metres.

Diversion route: a newly constructed private path adjacent to Footpath 40.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 05 October 2026 to 26 March 2027 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public while an informal play area and seating area is undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 05 October 2026 may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Frenches Green, Felsted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Frenches Green, Felsted in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Crix Green Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction.

2. To temporarily close that length of Frenches Green, Felsted in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 45m west of its junction with Crix Green Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a north easterly direction.

These closures are scheduled to commence on 21st October 2026 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06167185TS – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on https://one.network/ . These closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

No alternative route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 1st October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Poplars Lane, White Roding) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Poplars Lane, White Roding in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 880m north west, north east then north west of its junction with Chelmsford Road for a distance of approximately 225m in a north easterly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd October 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2412519 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on https://one.network/ . The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Poplars Lane, Broad Bridge Road, B184, A1060 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 1st October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Stortford Road, Great Dunmow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stortford Road, Great Dunmow in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 80m south west of its junction with Buttleys Lane to both of its junctions with Great Dunmow Bypass for a distance 210m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st October 2026 for 2 nights (19:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP40060534279 – Lidl). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on https://one.network/ . The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while surfacing works are undertaken by Lidl.

An alternative route is available via B1256, B183, A1060, B184, B1008 and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 17th September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
