KIRKLEES COUNCIL- ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

(BRUNSWICK STREET, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Brunswick Street, Dewsbury from a point outside property no. 12 to a point outside property no. 16 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Brunswick Street,Anroyd Street, Back Brunswick Street, Reservoir Street.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 12 October 2026 and remain in force until 16 October 2026 between 07:00 hours to 19:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(GEORGE STREET, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of George Street, Dewsbury from a point outside property no. 50 to a point outside Craigs Motorcycles PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of George Street, Dewsbury Ring Road, Wellington Road,Ashworth Road, Wormald Street, Central Street.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 and remain in force until 15 October 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(GREENROYD AVENUE, HUNSWORTH, CLECKHEATON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Greenroyd Avenue, Hunsworth from a point to rear of property no. 130 to a point to rear of property no. 132 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Greenroyd Avenue, Green Lane, Hunsworth Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 28 September 2026 and remain in force until 2 October 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(LEAROAD, BIRSTALL, BATLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Lea Road, Birstall, Batley from its junction with Smithies Moor Crescent to its junction with The Burrows PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Lea Road, Smithies Moor Rise, Smithies Moor Lane, Bradford Road, Lea Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 28 September 2026 and remain in force until 6 October 2026 between 09:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(KIRKGATE/COMMONSIDE/MILLLANE/HIGH STREET, HANGING HEATON, BATLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Hanging Heaton, Batley:-

Kirkgate - from a point outside property no. 2 to its junction with High Street

Commonside - from a point outside property no. 224 to its junction with High Street

Mill Lane - from a point outside property no. 64 to its junction with High Street

High Street - from a point outside property no. 28 to its junction with Mill Lane

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via High Street, Mill Lane, Grange Road, Challenge Way, Leeds Road, High Street. It is intended that the closure will commence Saturday, 26 September 2026 and remain in force until 27 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(THE OVAL, HIGHTOWN, LIVERSEDGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of The Oval, Hightown from a point outside property no. 4 to a point to the end of property no. 4 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

There is no alternative diversionary route available.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 30 September 2026 and remain in force until

2 October 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ASHWORTH ROAD, EIGHTLANDS, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Ashworth Road, Eightlands from its junction with Ashworth Green to its junction with Willans Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Ashworth Road, Wellington Road, Dewsbury Ring Road, Halifax Road, Willans Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday, 1 October 2026 and remain in force until 23 October 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(MOOR LANE, GOMERSAL, CLECKHEATON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Moor Lane, Gomersal, Cleckheaton from its junction with Dewsbury Road for approximately 50 metres PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Dewsbury Road, Bradford Road, Whitehall Road East, Birkenshaw Lane, the unaffected length of Moor Lane and vice versa. The closure will commence on Monday, 28 September 2026 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 7 September 2026 and will remain in force until 2 October 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HIGH STREET, THORNHILL EDGE, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of High Street, Thornhill Edge, from its junction with Edge Junction to its termination point PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. There is no alternative diversionary route available. Access maintained for residents and Emergency Services. The closure will commence on Monday, 28 September 2026 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 8 September 2026 and will remain in force until 2 October 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
