THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY
(POT GREEN, RAMSBOTTOM) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-
Pot Green, Ramsbottom – from outside property No.27 to property No.29
The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate Electricity Northwest works.
There will be no alternate route as it is a no through road.
The Order comes into operation on 28/09/2026 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 5 days.

(CASTLE HILL ROAD, BURY) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be as follows:-
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting (No Waiting At Any Time)
Castle Hill Road, Bury – west side, from a point 192m north from the northerly kerbline of Lea Mount Drive, for a distance of 68m in a northerly direction
East side, from a point 193m north from the northerly kerbline of Woodgate Avenue, for a distance of 68m in a northerly direction
The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate the construction of the site access/egress to the Woodhill compound for the (HARP) project.
The Order comes into operation on 28/09/2026 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 3 months.
