PUBLIC FOOTPATH DIVERSION ORDER
AND DEFINITIVE MAP & STATEMENT
MODIFICATION ORDER NO 2, 2026
FOOTPATHS WOOLLEY NO. 6 &
WOOLLEY NO. 15

The above order was made on 21st September 2026 to enable the applicant to implement planning permission number 25/01767/FUL, under Part III of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, namely to enable development to be carried out.

The effect of the order will be to divert a public footpath 0.9 metres wide shown by a bold solid line on the plan annexed hereto commencing at its junction with the existing path at Point A on the plan at Grid Reference 43084 41241 proceeding in a generally southerly direction for 104 metres to Point C on the plan at Grid Reference 43086 41230 and a Public Footpath 1.2 metres wide from Point B on the plan at Grid Reference 43072 41228 proceeding in a generally westerly direction for 332 metres to Point D on the plan at Grid Reference SE 43104 41234 to a public footpath 2 metres wide shown by a dashed line on the plan annexed hereto commencing at its junction with the existing path at Point A on the Plan at Grid Reference 43084 41241 proceeding in a south westerly direction for 196 metres to Point E on the plan at Grid Reference 43070 41228 and a Public Footpath 2 metres wide commencing at its junction with the existing path at Point B on the plan at Grid Reference 43072 41228 proceeding in a generally south easterly then generally easterly direction for 86 metres then in a south easterly direction for 57 metres to Point F on the Plan at Grid Reference 43084 41224 proceeding in generally north easterly direction for 230 metres to Point D on the plan at Grid Reference 43104 41234 The diversion of the public footpaths shall have effect on the date of which the Council of the City of Wakefield certify that the alternative highway for use as a replacement for the said public footpath has been created to the reasonable satisfaction of the Council of the City of Wakefield and upon the occurrence of that diversion the Council of the City of Wakefield definitive map shall be modified by deleting from it the path or way referred to in paragraph 1 of the order and the definitive statement shall be modified as described in Part 3 of the Schedule to the order.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Chief Legal Officer, Wakefield One, Burton Street, Wakefield, WF1 2EB (quoting ref L/AF) not later than 5th November 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, The Council of the City of Wakefield may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for The Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
