What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN
BRIDLEWAY 52 CHAPELTOWN, FOOTPATH 5 CHAPELTOWN & BRIDLEWAY 3 TURTON (PART) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council proposes to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any persons from using Bridleway 52 Chapeltown, Footpath 5 Chapeltown & Bridleway 3 Turton (part), which connect with the bridleway crossing the embankment and is referred to in the Schedule below. This is to facilitate essential maintenance works for Turton and Entwistle reservoir.
The Order becomes effective on the 1st of October 2026 for a period of six months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
