What is happening?
TRAFFIC ORDER
On 21/09/26, Angus Council made The Angus Council
(C30 Cortachy - Menmuir at Memus)
(Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2026, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that Scottish Water works may be undertaken. The Order will come into force on 28/09/26 from which date it is anticipated that the work will last for a period of 10 days. However, the maximum duration in terms of the Act is 18 months. The effect of the Order is to prohibit all vehicular traffic from driving and waiting on Cortachy - Menmuir – Brechin (C30) from its junction with Church Terrace, Memus in a northerly direction for a distance of 75m or thereby. Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via, U400 Memus Road (C31 - C30), Kirriemuir - Coull Smithy – Brechin (C31), Golf Road, Kirriemuir, B955 Kirriemuir – Clova and Cortachy - Menmuir – Brechin (C30).
