Temporary Closure of Picket Lane, South Perrott

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along PICKET LANE, SOUTH PERROTT between its junction with Manor Close and Bellamy Farm, a distance of approximately 65 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 28 September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 07 October 2026.

This Order will enable National Grid, safe access to carry out a supply upgrade.

An alternative route will be signed using; Chedington Lane - Village Road - A356

Temporary Closure of Victoria Grove, Bridport

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along VICTORIA GROVE, BRIDPORT between its junction with West Street and Martin and Company, a distance of approximately 35 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 28 September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 09 October 2026.

This Order will enable SGN, safe access to carry out gas main replacement works.

An alternative route will be signed using; Coneygar Road - A3066 - B3162

Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Thorncombe

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along VARIOUS ROADS, THORNCOMBE; FORE STREET, THORNCOMBE between its junction with Chard Street and Myrtle Cottage, a distance of approximately 285 metres.

CHARD STREET, THORNCOMBE between its junction with Fore Street and Gribb Farm, a distance of approximately 545 metres.

HIGH STREET, THORNCOMBE between its junction with Chard Street and Horseshoe Road, a distance of approximately 450 metres.

The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 12 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13 November 2026.

This Order will enable Wessex Internet, safe access to carry out installation of ducting and fibre cable.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of Jericho, Lyme Regis

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along JERICHO, LYME REGIS in its entirety. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 12 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 April 2027.

This Order will enable Tilbury Douglas on behalf of South West Water to carry out construction works to enlarge an existing underground screen chamber, build a new flow control chamber, interconnecting pipework and intersecting manholes.

On this occasion there will be no specified alternative route for diverted traffic.

It will come into operation on 12 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 April 2027.

This Order will enable Tilbury Douglas on behalf of South West Water to carry out construction works to enlarge an existing underground screen chamber, build a new flow control chamber, interconnecting pipework and intersecting manholes.

[2] To impose a clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting on the highway along WOODMEAD ROAD, LYME REGIS between its junction with Windsor Terrace and number 17, a distance of approximately 60 metres.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[1] To impose a temporary road closure on the following roads as indicated by signs on site; FISHWEIR FIELDS - ACER AVENUE - TRINITY WAY - LEE LANE - DREW CLOSE - FOX CLOSE

[2] To impose a parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along; FISHWEIR FIELDS - ACER AVENUE - TRINITY WAY - LEE LANE - DREW CLOSE - FOX CLOSE

[3] To impose a clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting on the highway along; FISHWEIR FIELDS - ACER AVENUE - TRINITY WAY - LEE LANE - DREW CLOSE - FOX CLOSE

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
