Temporary Closure of Rushall Lane, Lytchett Matravers

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders will be prohibited from proceeding along Rushall Lane, Lytchett Matravers between Brooklands and Forest Hill Farm, a distance of approximately 180 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 26th October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2nd November 2026.

This Order will enable Wessex Water Services to carry out exploratory trial holes in front of the Wessex Water asset.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary 30mph Speed Limit, A35, Morden

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 15th October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the temporary 30mph speed limit will remain in force until 31st March 2028.

This Order will enable Core Highways to impose a temporary 30mph speed limit to allow safe ingress / egress of works vehicles to Blackheath Water Recycling Centre.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[i] To impose a temporary 30mph speed limit upon A35, Morden to such extent as indicated by the traffic signs between Access Road To Black Heath Farm, Bloxworth and a point approximately 1600 metres to the east (in both directions).

Temporary Traffic Management Order of Various Roads, Verwood

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 7th October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31st October 2026.

This Order will enable National Grid to carry out works to their overhead network.

The effect of this Order is as follows:

[i] To impose a temporary road closure on: Black Moor Road, Verwood between Ringwood Road and Taunus Way.

[ii] To impose a temporary clearway and parking restriction as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along; [i] Black Moor Road between Ringwood Road and Taunus Way; [ii] Taunus Way between Black Moor Road and Potterne Wood Close.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of Blandford Forum Bypass, Blandford Forum

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5th October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 10th October 2026.

This Order will enable Heidelberg Materials UK to carry out resurfacing and roadmarking works.

The effect of this Order is as follows:

[i] To impose a temporary 10mph speed limit to facilitate the use of a convoy working vehicle along Blandford Forum Bypass, Blandford Forum as indicated by signs on site.

The County of Dorset (Edmondsham Road & C104, Verwood) (30mph Speed Limit) (No. 20) Order 2026

Dorset Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

When the Order comes into operation on 30th September 2026 the effect of the Order will be to extend the 30mph speed limit along part of Edmondsham Road & the C104 in Verwood.

The County of Dorset, Various Roads, Dorset – 30mph, 40mph and 50mph Speed Limit Orders 2026

Dorset Council has made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

When the Orders come into operation on 25th September 2026 the effect will be to formalise the existing 30mph, 40mph and 50mph speed limits along sections or entire lengths of various roads in Colehill, Shaftesbury, St Leonards and St Ives, Verwood and Weymouth.
