Notice is hereby given that ESSEX COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make the above Orders under Sections 84(1)(a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The Effect Of The Order: To permanently implement the current temporary speed limits.

‘The Essex County Council (Epping Road and Stony Lane, Ongar) (Speed Limit) Order 2007’ is hereby revoked in its entirety however, any roads not mentioned above shall continue in force by virtue of this new Order.

(Shared Footpath/Cycleway (Stony Wood), Harlow) - (Temporary Prohibition Of Use) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the ESSEX COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect Of The Order: To temporarily close shared footpath/cycleway (Stony Wood) in the District of Harlow as below.

(Forest Avenue, Chigwell) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) - Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the ESSEX COUNTY COUNCIL intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect Of The Order:
To temporarily close that length of Forest Avenue, Chigwell in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 80m south east of its junction with High Road for a distance of approximately 2m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th October 2026 for 3 days or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2407390 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
No diversion route is available.
The Order will come into effect on 1st October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Sedge Green, Nazeing) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) - Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the ESSEX COUNTY COUNCIL intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect Of The Order:
To temporarily close that length of Sedge Green, Nazeing in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Meadgate Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th October 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX05610286890 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter exchange works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via: Sedge Green, Hamlet Hill, Tylers Road, B181, Common Road, Nazeing Common, Middle Street and vice versa (with access only into Sedge Green).
The Order will come into effect on 1st October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, District Of Epping Forest) - (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic & Temporary Introduction Of A Clearway) & (High Street, Brentwood & Stapleford Road, Stapleford Abbotts) (Temporary Suspension Of 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order (No.13) 2026
Notice is hereby given that the ESSEX COUNTY COUNCIL intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect Of The Order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Epping Forest as specified in the schedule.
2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction on that length of High Street, Brentwood, in the Borough of Brentwood from its junction with Ingrave Road to its junction with Kings Road as detailed in "The Essex County Council (A1023 High Street, Brentwood) (7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2010" for the duration of the above closures only.
3. To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction on that length of Stapleford Road, Stapleford Abbotts in the District of Epping Forest from its junction with Hook Lane to its junction with Bournebridge Lane as detailed in "Epping Forest District (Roding Valley Area) (Weight and Width Restrictions) Order 1992" for the duration of the above closures only.
4. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on those lengths of road specified in the Schedule. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 1st October 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via: letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

To temporarily close that length of Brooklane Field, Harlow in the District of Harlow, from a point approximately 35m southwest of its junction with Southern Way for a distance of approximately 50m in a south westerly direction.
