TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BRIDLEWAY

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (CARLTON IN LINDRICK BRIDLEWAY NO.7) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) CONTINUATION NO.2 ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State Transport in pursuance of the powers conferred by Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 approves of The Nottinghamshire County Council (Carlton in Lindrick Bridleway No.7) (Temporary Prohibition) Notice 2026 (which came into force on 26 th March 2026 and was continued by a 2 nd 21 day notice on 16 th April 2026 then further continued by a Continuation order on 7 th May 2026 which remains in force until 26 th September 2026 inclusive) being extended and continuing in force until 26 th March 2027 or until completion of the relevant works, whichever is the sooner.

The Order has the following effect:-

No person shall:-
(a) proceed on foot,
(b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed,
(c) cause any horse to proceed,
(d) cause any animal to proceed,

in the following length of Bridleway at Carlton in Lindrick in the District of Bassetlaw: -

Carlton in Lindrick Bridleway No.7

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be as follows:-

No alternative route available via Public Rights of Way.

If the works are not completed within the above period the Order may be extended for a longer period with the further approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.

The prohibition is required to protect public safety due to unsafe ground conditions requiring remedial works.
