What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Moneyfield Avenue) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.134) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has given a direction under section 15(3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 for the above Order to be continuing in force for a further four weeks.
The Order comes into operation from 24th August 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
MONEYFIELD AVENUE
Parking bay outside No.51-57 Moneyfield Avenue.
SALCOMBE AVENUE
In its entirety on both sides.
REDCAR AVENUE
In its entirety on both sides.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate gas works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 24th August 2026 to 9th October 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
This Order is now extended for a further period of 4 weeks from 10th October 2026 to 6th November 2026, or completion of works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
