Temporary Closure Of Church Lane, Buckland Ripers
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along CHURCH LANE, BUCKLAND RIPERS for its entirety.
The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 12 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 23 October 2026.
This Order will enable Wessex Internet, safe access to carry out fibre cable installation and splicing On this occasion there will be no alternative route.

Temporary Closure Of Public Footpath S1/92, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath 92, from grid reference SY 66063 78338 to grid reference SY 66251 78407, a distance of approximately 200 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation on 29 September 2026 for a period of 26 weeks and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This Order is required to allow continuation of the housing development. On this occasion there will be no suitable alternative route.
