THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO

The closure is required whilst Anglian Water works commences on 21 October 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 21 October 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

Alternative route: Stowe Park, Welsh Ln, Buckingham Road, Whitfield Road, Biddlesden Road, Main Road, A43, A413, Brackley Road, Dadford Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Anglian Water works commences on 26 October 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 26 October 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
THE COUNCIL HAS MADE
(Public Footpath No’s. 2/1, 2/2 & 3/1 Parish of Stewkley) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath No. 2/1, 2/2 & 3/1 from the junction of STE/1/1, STE/1/2 & STE/3/1 and continuing south east to the junction of STE/2/2 & STE/2/1 and continuing along both STE/2/2 and STE/2/1 for the entire length. The closure is required due to a failed bridge. The Order will come into operation on 18 September 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
