Public Notice - Local Government Act 1972, Section 122(2a) - Notice Of Intention To Appropriate Land Consisting Of Open Space At Land Known As Stifford Community Centre 2-6 Cressy Place & Adjoining Land To The East Stepney Green London, E1 3JG

Notice Is Hereby Given under section 122(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that THE LONDON BOROUGH OF TOWER HAMLETS intends to appropriate land forming part of open space at Tinsley Road and Cressy Place ("the Land") for planning purposes relating to the regeneration of the Land for the delivery of new housing and a new community centre.

A plan showing the location and extent of the land to be appropriated is available for inspection at: The reception, at: The Town Hall, 160 Whitechapel Road, London, E1 1BJ, between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, (save for bank holidays). A copy of the plan may also be requested by email from Imelda Burke, at: imelda.burke@towerhamlets.gov.uk.

Any representations or objections with respect to the proposed appropriation must be made in writing to: Imelda Burke by post to: The Housing Supply Team, 160 Whitechapel Road, Town Hall, London, E1 1BJ, or by email to: Imelda.burke@towerhamlets.gov.uk, to be received no later than 22nd October 2026.
