ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(BYSLIPS ROAD/ DUNSTABLE ROAD AND KENSWORTH ROAD, STUDHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of a) B yslips Rd, Studham between Kensworth Rd and Oldhill Wood.

b) Dunstable Road, Studham between Wells House and Kensworth Rd.

c)  Kensworth Rd, Studham for the full length

This temporary closure is required to enable new water connections and mains renewal work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place as per the below dates for 24hrs per day.

a) f rom 7 October to 3 December.

b) From 7 to 16 September

c) From 17 September to 6 October

The alternative route for this closure will be via

a)  Buckwood Lane, Dunstable Rd, Byslips Rd and vice versa.

b) Dunstable Rd, Buckwood Lane, Byslips Rd and vice versa.

c)  Byslips Rd, Clem   ents End Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 7 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(LUTON ROAD, BARTON LE CLAY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Luton Road, Barton le clay slip road from Hexton Road to the A6.

This temporary closure is required to enable cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 5 to 9 October 2026 between the hours 0930-1530. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B655 and A6.

The Order will come into operation on 5 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(MOUNTVIEW AVENUE/ WOODFIELD GATE, DUNSTABLE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Mountview Avenue and Woodfield Gate, Dunstable.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 5 to 9 October 2026 between the hours 0800-1800 The road will be closed at all times during this period. The roads wont be closed at the same time.

The alternative route for this closure will be via the below:

Mountview Avenue - Mayfield Rd, A5183, Southwood Rd and vice versa.

Woodfield Gate - Woodfield Green, Southwood Rd, Mountview Avenue and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 5 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Willow Way, Toddington at the junction with Dunstable Rd.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 5 to 7 October 2026 between the hours 0800-1800 The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order will come into operation on 5 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

WOODSIDE ROAD AND MANOR ROAD, WOODSIDE

WAITING RESTRICTIONS

On 15th September 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To introduce No waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Woodside:-

1.  Manor Road, both sides, from the junction with Woodside Road, extending in a north westerly direction for approximately 15 metres.

2.  Woodside Road, north side, from the junction with Manor Road, extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 10 metres.

3.  Woodside Road, south-west side, from the junction with Manor Road, extending in a slightly south westerly direction for approximately 10 metres.

On 15th September 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To introduce Parking for Disabled badge holders only on the following lengths of road in Slip End:-

2. Crawley Close, west side, from a point in line with the shared property boundary between No. 1A and No. 3 and extending in a south-westerly direction, covering an area approximately 6.6 metres in length and 2m metres in width.

To revoke an Ambulance Bay on the following lengths of road in Slip End:-

1. Crawley Close, west side, from a point in line with the shared property boundary between No. 1A and No. 3 and extending in a south-westerly direction, covering an area approximately 10 metres in length and 2m metres in width.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(HARLINGTON: PARTS OF FOOTPATH NO 23, FOOTPATH NO 4 AND

FOOTPATH NO 36)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Order made by Central Bedfordshire Council on 14 March 2025 the effect of which is to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of:

I.   Footpath No. 23, Harlington which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0365 2999 to OS GR TL 0350 2927

II.  Footpath No. 4, Harlington which extends from OS GR TL 0384 3002 to OS GR TL 0387 2996

III. Footpath No. 36, Harlington from OS GR TL 0350 2972 to OS GR TL 0385 2994 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 26 September 2027.

This temporary closure is required to install the remaining site drainage and to construct the new (FP36) and upgraded (FP23) footpaths. The closure is expected to continue from 27 September 2026 for up to twelve months.

For Footpath No. 4, Harlington, the alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation is shown by the green lines on the order map, which runs through the estate between points B and C and the suggested connection to Bridleway No. 21 at the south. For Footpath No. 23, Harlington and Footpath No. 36, Harlington there is no alternative route for footpath users while the closures are in operation.
