Blanchmans Road (D1355) Warlingham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 18 September 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Blanchmans Road (D1355) Warlingham as extends from its junction with The Court (X35221) to its junction with Hawthorne Close (X10098).

Alternative route – B269 (Limpsfield Road), Gresham Avenue and Farm Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable SES Water to facilitate a new water connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 5 October 2026 for 1 week, between the hours of 8.00am and 4.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained either side of but not through the works site. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Eastbourne Road (A22) South Godstone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 18 September 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Eastbourne Road (A22) South Godstone as extends from its junction with Eastbourne Road (B2236) to the centreline of the railway bridge at South Godstone Station; and 2. suspend “The Surrey County Council Various in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025” insofar as it relates to the length of Eastbourne Road described in 1.

Alternative route – A22 (Eastbourne Road), A264 (Copthorne Road, Snow Hill, Copthorne Common Road and Copthorne Way), A2011 (Crawley Avenue), A23 (London Road and Brighton Road), A217 (Reigate Road, Dovers Green Road, Cockshot Hill and Bell Street), A25 (clockwise only – High Street, London Road and Castlefield Road, anti-clockwise only – Bancroft Street, all – Church Street, Reigate Road, Hatchlands Way, Linkfield Corner, Station Road, Queenway and London Road), A23 (Princess Way and Marketfield Way), A25 (Redstone Hill, Nutfield Road, High Street, Bletchingley Road, Castle Street, High Street, Godstone Road, Bletchingley Road (anti-clockwise only), Godstone Green (clockwise only), High Street and Oxted Road) and A22 (Godstone By- Pass), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate major maintenance and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 9 October 2026 for 10 days, between the hours of 8.00pm and 6.00am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Station Road and Pebble Hill Road (B2032) Betchworth Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 18 September 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Road and Pebble Hill Road (B2032) Betchworth as extends from the junction of Station Road with Reigate Road (A25) to the access for “Dawcombe”.

Alternative route – B2032 (Dorking Road), B2090 (Mill Road), A217 (Brighton Road, Reigate Hill and London Road), A25 (London Road, West Street, Buckland Road and Reigate Road), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate signage works, tactile pavement installation and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 October 2026 for 5 days. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Lawrence Lane (D318) Buckland Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lawrence Lane (D318) Buckland as extends from its junction with (A25) Reigate Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “Hillview Cottages”. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of Barr Engineering Services Ltd.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 21 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. There is no alternative diversion route for this closure.

Keepers Corner (C67) Burstow Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Keepers Corner (C67) Burstow as extends from its junction with (B2037) Effingham Road to its junction with (C67) Copthorne Bank. Alternative Route: (B2037) Effingham Road, (B2028) West Park Road, Turners Hill Road, (A264) Copthorne Common, Borers Arms Road, and Copthorne Bank, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of Morrison Telecom Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Tandridge Lane (C83) Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Tandridge Lane (C83) Tandridge. Alternative Route: (A25) Godstone Road, (C84) Godstone Road, Beadles Lane, Hall Hill, Broadham Green Road, and Southlands Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN.
These works are anticipated to be carried out in 2 phases, over 15 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents within the affected length of road will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. All other vehicular traffic including emergency service vehicles will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead as extends from its junction with (A24) Epsom Road to its junction with (T8008) Townpath – Grove Road. Alternative Route: (1) (A24) The Street, Grove Road, Dene Road, and Park Lane, or this route in reverse; (2) HGV’s Park Lane, Farm Lane, Downs Road, Headley Road, Wilmerhatch Lane, Woodcote Side, (A24) Dorking Road, and (A24) Epsom Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate drainage excavation and repair works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 days and to be completed as soon as possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for residents will be maintained via Dene Road. All other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Smalls Hill Road (C57) Leigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Smalls Hill Road (C57) Leigh as extends from the access for “Silverlee” to the access for “Mynthurst Paddock”.

Alternative route – Norwood Hill Road, Stan Hill, Blanks Lane, Broad Lane, Clayhill Road, Newdigate Road, Bunce Common Road and Smalls Hill Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate fibre cabling works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 October 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Norwood Hill Road (C57) Charlwood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Norwood Hill Road (C57) Charlwood as extends from its junction with Old Farm Close (X8232) to its junction with Norwood Hill (D330).

Alternative route – Smalls Hill Road, Tapners Road, Bunce Common Road, Newdigate Road, Clayhill Road, Broad Lane, Partridge Lane, Blanks Lane and Stan Hill, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate communications works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 October 2026 for 3 days between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Coopers Hill Road (C67) and Prince of Wales Road (C67) South Nutfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Coopers Hill Road (C67) and Prince of Wales Road (C67) South Nutfield as extends from the junction of Coopers Hill Road with Kings Cross Lane (D385) to the junction of Prince of Wales Road with Green Lane (C65).

Alternative route – Dayseys Hill, Millers Lane, Scott’s Hill, Outwood Lane, A25 (High Street, Castle Street and Bletchingley Road) and Coopers Hill Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable SCC to facilitate traffic sign installation and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

D446 Ship Hill, Tatsfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D446 Ship Hill, Tatsfield that extends from the south-eastern property boundary of “The Old Telephone Exchange, Ship Hill”, to its junction with D447 Church Hill. This Traffic Order is required to enable EE/M Group to build a new telecoms site for mobile telecoms and/or carry out connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 5 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of a marshal. Access to affected residences and businesses, including access for emergency vehicles to such properties will be maintained at all times to the point of works, under direction of a marshal via the alternative route:- Ship Hill, Westmore Green, Tatsfield Approach Road, Clarks Lane and Church Hill.

C253 London Road, Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C253 London Road, Dorking that extends from the western side of its junction with D2821 Fairfield Drive, to the northern side of its junction with D2838 Rothes Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable Virgin Media to carry out excavations in the carriageway to repair a damaged chamber and/or to carry out connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 11pm within 1 evening of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 14 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route:- London Road, Reigate Road, Deepdene Avenue and London Road.

D2503 Leatherhead Road, Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D2503 Leatherhead Road, Bookham that extends from its western junction with A246 Leatherhead Road, to the north-western property boundary of “Westfield”. This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains connections and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 11.59pm, within 12 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route:- D2503 Leatherhead Road and A246 Leatherhead Road.
