What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (C5018 HIGH NIBTHWAITE AND MILTON LANE, MILTON (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the:
(i) C5018 High Nibthwaite, from its junction with the U5082, extending in a northerly direction for a distance of approx. 835m.
Alternative Route: via the B5285, A593, A5084 and the unrestricted section of the C5018.
Duration: From 14th October 2026 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/20458)
(ii) U5357 Milton Lane, Milton, adjacent to a property known as Milton Hall, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 80m.
Alternative Route: via the B6385 and the unrestricted section of the U537.
Duration: From 22nd October 2026 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/20603)

The Order will come into operation on 14th October 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
