PETERHEAD – TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (South Bay Access Road, Peterhead – 23.08.26) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2026” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984. The order will operate from 23.08.26 for 14 days, overnight from 20:00 to 06:00 and will prohibit any person from driving on the South Bay Access Road, Peterhead from Invernettie Roundabout to South Road. Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety due to facilitation of works on the A90 Invernettie roundabout. An alternative route is available via the A982, South Road and vice versa. Details of the restriction can be viewed online at https://online.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/apps/roadworks/.
