TRANS PENNINE TRAIL LINK TO DEARNE BRIDLEWAY 39
TEMPORARY CLOSURE
An order has been made to close a section of the Trans Pennine Trail over Adwick Green Bridge leading to Dearne Bridleway 39, Harlington to any person riding or leading a horse.
This Order shall come into operation on 25 September 2026 for a maximum duration of up to six months.
Reason: Unsafe bridge decking for horses.

THURGOLAND FOOTPATH 10 & STAINBOROUGH FOOTPATH 20 TEMPORARY CLOSURE
An order has been made to close a section of Thurgoland Footpath 10 and a section of Stainborough Footpath 20 from Hand Lane to the junction with Stainborough Footpath 19.
This Order shall come into operation on 28 September 2026 for a maximum duration of up to six months. Works are expected to take approx. 2 weeks.
Reason: Installation of new water main.

BARNSLEY COUNTY BOROUGH
WOMBWELL FOOTPATH NUMBER 53 TEMPORARY CLOSURE
An order will be made to close Wombwell footpath number 53 from its junction with Wombwell bridleway 52 (TPT) Brampton Road to its junction with Wombwell footpath 43 at Intake Bridge. This Order shall come into operation on 5 October 2026 for a maximum duration of six months. The closure will be activated when works commence on site.
Reason: Machine removal of debris and canal banking works are expected to take approximately 7 days.

BARNSLEY COUNTY BOROUGH
FOOTPATH 112 TEMPORARY CLOSURE
The Secretary of State has authorised an extension to close Barnsley County Borough footpath 112 from Old Mill Lane to its junction with Barnsley County Borough footpath 111 for a further 12 months until 30 September 2027.
Reason: Closure of footpath to facilitate vehicular highway improvements.
