U8269 NORTH MEADOW FOOTWAY OVINGHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on that section of the U8269 North Meadow Footway Ovingham from its point with the front of 26 North Meadows heading in a northwards direction for a distance of 50 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 12th October 2026 until the 23rd October 2026.

It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 12th October 2026 until the 15th October 2026 between the hours of 08:00 & 18:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 23rd October 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via North Meadow Footway, North Meadows, Bewick Lane and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U5032 WARK JUNCTION TO WARKSHAUGH BANK JUNCTION WARK (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U5032 Wark Junction to Warkshaugh Bank Junction from its point with the rear of 1 Buckland Cottages heading in a south westerly direction for a distance of 80 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 12th October 2026 until the 6th November 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 12th October 2026 until the 23rd October 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 6th November 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U5032, C213, C216, U5032 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

B6295 ALLENDALE TOWN TO CATTON ALLENDALE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6295 Allendale Town to Catton from its junction with Allendale Tynedale District Bridleway 122 heading in a southwards direction for a distance of 55 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 12th October 2026 until the 20th November 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 12th October 2026 until the 23rd October 2026 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 20th November 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via B6295, B6303 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U7071 OLD ROAD FROM PLENMELLER ROAD JUNCTION TO HALTWHISTLE, HALTWHISTLE

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U7071 Old Road from Plenmeller Road Junction to Haltwhistle from its junction with B6322 West Road to Townfoot heading in a southerly direction for a distance of 60 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 12th October 2026 until the 16th October 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 12th October 2026 until the 13th October 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th October 2026.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C205 Coldcotes to Wark from its point with the front of Dean Burn House heading in a north westwards direction for a distance of 60 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 19th October 2026 until the 26th October 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 19th October 2026 between the hours of 08:00 & 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 26th October 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C205, B6320, C200, C204 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

C254 Ovington to Ovingham from its junction with C254 West Road heading in a south westwards direction for a length of 1120 metres.

The Order is to be effective from the 19th October 2026 until the 30th October 2026.

It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 19th October 2026 until the 30th October 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 30th October 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C254, A69, B6528, C257 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The Order is to be effective from the 15th October 2026 until the 21st October 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 15th October 2026 between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 21st October 2026.

The Order is to be effective from the 15th October 2026 until the 23rd October 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 15th October 2026 until the 16th October 2026 between the hours of 09:30 & 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 23rd October 2026.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Bellingham Public Footpath Number 14, in the County of Northumberland.

The route is described as follows:

Parish of Bellingham Public Footpath Number 14

From a point on the B6320 (Bellingham – Wark) road at the north-east end of the bridge over the River North Tyne, in an easterly and south-easterly direction, for a distance of 375 metres to join the public road at the south-west end of Bellingham, at a point 30 metres south west of Welbrook, Sunnydale, Bellingham.

There is no alternative route available.

The Order is to be effective from the 12th October 2026 until the 1st January 2027, or until works are complete.

U8106 SNODS EDGE JUNCTION TO SHOTLEYFIELD JUNCTION SHOTLEYFIELD (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in accordance with Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions have continued to be in force on the U8106 Snods Edge Junction to Shotleyfield Junction Shotleyfield in the County of Northumberland.

Temporary Road Closure:-

A temporary road closure will continue to be in force and all users will be prohibited to use the following road in the County of Northumberland.

• U8106 Snods Edge Junction to Shotleyfield Junction 50 metres northwards from its point with Shotley Low Quarter Tynedale District Footpath 032 heading in a northwards direction for a distance of 35 metres in the County of Northumberland.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being U8106, C263, C261 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, and where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

This Order came into force on the 15th September 2026 and will remain in force until the 9th October 2026. The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water as works are still ongoing to fix a water leak.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made the above-named Amendment Order under sections 32 and 35 and Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act of 1984”), and Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers and after consulting with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984.

The effect of the Variation Order, which will come into force on 28th September 2026 will be to include ‘virtual’ and ‘physical’ permits into the Northumberland County Council (Off Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2026 following the introduction of a new digitised permit system by Northumberland County Council.
