THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL

(VARIOUS ROADS) (CONSOLIDATION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS, ON STREET PARKING PLACES, RESIDENTS’ PARKING PLACES AND TAXI STANDS) (AMENDMENT NO 12) ORDER 2024 (“AMENDMENT NO 12 ORDER”)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Blackpool Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 46, 46A, 47, 49, 53 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Borough of Blackpool) Order 2003 (Statutory Instrument No 2677) and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to introduce the following restrictions as specified below:-

RESTRICTIONS TO BE INTRODUCED

1.  No waiting at any time on the following parts of streets: Tyrone Avenue (both sides); Inver Road (east side); Seafield (west side); Glenroyd Close (both sides); Lawson Road; Dunelt Road (east side); Durley Road (both sides); Hawes Side Lane (west side); Crompton Avenue (north and south sides); Berwick Road (both sides); Abbey Road (west side).

2.  Disabled parking Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 6:00pm, 3 hours, no return within 6 hours on part of Central Drive (east side).

3.  Limited waiting bay Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 6:00pm, 1 hour, no return within 2 hours on part of Central Drive (east side).

4.  Limited waiting bay 9:00 am to 11:00pm, 1 hour, no return within 2 hours on part of Rutherford Place (west side, opposite Nos. 1 and 3).

REVOCATIONS TO BE INTRODUCED

1.  Revocation of the existing limited waiting bay 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, 20 minutes, no return within 40 minutes on part of Rutherford Place (west side, opposite Nos. 1 and 3).

A copy of the proposed Order, along with a plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at Customer First, Municipal Buildings, Corporation Street, Blackpool, FY1 1NF. Please telephone 01253 477477 to make an appointment to view the documents.

Any objections or representations relating to the proposed Order must be made quoting the title of the proposed Order before 9:00 am on 13 October 2026 by one of the following methods:

1.  in writing stating the grounds for any objection and should be sent to either Head of Transportation Highways, Blackpool Council, PO Box 4, Blackpool, FY1 1NA; or
