Ilkley - Temporary Road Closures due to Water Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL CARTERS LANE & CURLY HILL, ILKLEY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of water works to be executed on or near Carters Lane & Curly Hill, Ilkley has made the above-named Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of: Carters Lane from its junction with Curly Hill to a point outside the electricity sub- station; and Curly Hill from its junction with Carters Lane to a point outside No.148 Curly Hill.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the Order are available via Carters Lane (unaffected section), Denton Road, Middleton Avenue, Curly Hill and vice versa. The Order comes into operation at 08:00 hours on the 29th September 2026 and remains in force until 17:00 hours on the 9th October 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
