(Nibley Lane, Yate) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Nibley Lane which extends from a point 185m north west of A432 Badminton Road northwards for 40m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon defective reinstatement remedial works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 28 September 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. No alternative route available: Access to be maintained.

(Washingpool Hill, Rudgeway) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Washingpool Hill which extends from A38 north westwards for 25m and south westwards for 25m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with Active Travel CRSTS works. The order became operative from 28 September 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 7 weeks duration.

Alternative route: Washingpool Hill Road (part unaffected), Lower Tockington Road, Fernhill, A38 and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon Active Travel CRSTS works. The order became operative from 28 September 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 month duration, between 8pm and 6am.

(Shortwood Road, Pucklechurch) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles and equestrians that length of Shortwood Road which extends from a point 160m east of Siston Lane eastwards for 120m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new water connection works. The order became operative from 3 October 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: A4174, Westerleigh Road and vice versa.

(Public Footpaths LWR/36/10; LWR/36/20 and LWR/37/10, Wickwar) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the above order, made by South Gloucestershire District Council on 26 March 2025, has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 6 April 2027 or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the order has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon construction works and would have expired on 6 October 2026. SCHEDULE 1. Footpath LWR/36/10 – the entire length; 2. Footpath LWR/36/20 – the entire length; 3. Footpath LWR/37/10 – that length which extends from B4058 Bristol Road south eastwards for 100m. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Goose Green which extends from a point 115m north of Church Road north eastwards for 85m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon telecom ducting works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 19 October 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works. The order will be operative from 20 October 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration, between 8am and 6pm. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon Active Travel CRSTS works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 19 October 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 week duration, between 8pm and 6am. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with replacing 10m of defective reinstatement across the carriageway. The order will be operative from 19 October 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon mains connection works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 22 October 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 week duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Chase Hill which extends from a point 50m east of Orange End eastwards for 120m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon cabling works on or adjacent to the highway.
