Allerton Lane - Temporary Road Closure due to Street Lighting Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL ALLERTON LANE, ALLERTON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of BMDC (Street Lighting)) works proposed to be executed on or near Allerton Lane, Allerton intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Allerton Lane from its junction with Old Road to its junction with Beck Bridge Lane. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Allerton Lane (unaffected section), Cote Lane, Allerton Road, Saffron Drive, Bell Dean Road, Thornton Road, School Green, Old Road and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 5th of October 2026 and remain in force until 18:00 on the 23rd of October 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
